A renowned New York surgeon has spilled the beans on Kris Jenner's speculated facelift, noting that a specific type known as the deep plane facelift carries more risks compared to other techniques.
The 69-year-old television personality turned heads with her remarkably younger-looking visage during a Paris outing alongside her daughter, Kim Kardashian.
The "Keeping Up With The Kardashians" matriarch and businesswoman had her representative confirm to Page Six her pre-70th birthday cosmetic refresh by plastic surgeon Dr. Steven Levine. While there's speculation about whether Kris opted for a deep plane facelift or perhaps just a standard SMAS procedure, precise details of the surgery are still under wraps.
Dr. Norman Rowe, a virtuoso in the realm of deep plane facelifts, weighed in on the differences between these procedures in a candid discussion about Kris' operation.
In an interview, he commended the celebrity on her preserved elegance and casually mentioned that he was a fan of the outcome.
He pointed out that expenses for such surgeries can swing wildly from decently priced to astronomically high, hingeing on the place where it was performed. He added that the cost of the surgery could range from five to six figures, depending on where she got it done.
Delving into potential concerns, he mentioned to The Sun: "I think, honestly, still, the majority of people out there doing facelifts are probably doing SMAS. It's still kind of like the go-to technique.", reports the Mirror.
He then elaborated saying, "It ultimately depends on the surgeon's comfort in doing that deep plane to that point. I'll be honest, it is a little bit more risky than, say, a SMAS."
He further explained to the publication: "The only way to determine what Kris had done is to observe her five or 10 years from now. If she still looks youthful, it was probably a deep plane facelift. However, if signs of aging start to appear, it likely wasn't."
In related news, Kris recently shared details about her past facelift after her daughter, Kylie Jenner, candidly revealed the specifics of her breast augmentation procedure to a fan.
When asked about her surgery, Kylie replied: "445 cc, moderate profile, half under the muscle! ! ! ! ! silicone! ! ! garth fisher! ! ! hope this helps lol.."
The surgeon who performed Kylie's procedure expressed his gratitude on social media, adding: "Every patient is unique. This isn't 'cookbook' surgery-it's thoughtful, personalised care."
In the comments section, Kris praised the doctor, saying: "Garth you are such a superstar class act. You did my first facelift in 2011… 14 years ago! ! !".
She continued: "And made it the most amazing experience ever and even gave us access to film so that others could get a peek inside what it's like and not be afraid… you have taken great care of us always and remain such a close and treasured friend! ! Such an incredible talent!!".
