Kris Jenner reveals facelift 'refresh' feels like she's 'aging gracefully' – USA Today

Kris Jenner has hopped on her daughters’ trend of revealing plastic surgery secrets.
In a Vogue Arabia cover story that published Aug. 26, the Kardashian family matriarch, 69, opened up about the facelift “refresh” she’d recently undergone.
“I had a facelift about 15 years ago, so it was time for a refresh,” she told the magazine.
She went on to explain the move – which resulted in an enhanced look that fans gushed over earlier this year – was “my version” of “aging gracefully.”
“I decided to do this facelift because I want to be the best version of myself, and that makes me happy. Just because you get older, it doesn’t mean you should give up on yourself,” she said.
“If you feel comfortable in your skin and you want to age gracefully – meaning you don’t want to do anything – then don’t do anything. But for me, this is aging gracefully. It’s my version.”
She shouted out New York City plastic surgeon Dr. Steven Levine as the person behind the look and elaborated on why she thinks it’s important to be transparent about getting work done.
“I decided to reveal some details because I feel it can be very ­inspirational to people who aren’t feeling so great about ­themselves,” Jenner said. “Even when I had my hip replacement, we filmed it. I have the conviction that sharing these things can be helpful.”
As she approaches her 70th birthday in November, the mom of six said: “I don’t know what 70 is supposed to feel like, but I feel great and I’m happy to be there.”
Jenner is among several celebrities who have recently been candid about going under the knife. Experts have praised this trend for offsetting unrealistic beauty standards that are especially pervasive on social media.
Beverly Hills plastic surgeon Daniel Barrett told USA TODAY in 2021, “Many celebrities look good naturally, but many also have work done. And when they’re not honest about it, I think they’re being unethical because they’re in the spotlight.
Barrett added, “They’re benefitting from being a celebrity and have a moral obligation to be transparent about anything they’ve had done that helps them achieve a certain look.”
Jenner’s revelations come two months after her youngest daughter, Kylie Jenner, revealed the size of her breast implants in a now-viral comment.
“445 cc, moderate profile, half under the muscle!!!!! silicone!!! garth fisher!!! hope this helps lol,” she wrote on TikTok.
Weeks later, older sister Khloé Kardashian responded to an aesthetician’s speculation about the cosmetic procedures she’s gotten done. The detailed list included a nose job, Botox, “skin tightening” laser treatment and salmon sperm facials.
