Kris Jenner finally unveiled the secret behind her newly revitalized appearance, which has sent the internet into a frenzy over the past several months.
Serving as Vogue Arabia’s cover star, Kris Jenner opened up about a recent facelift, saying the procedure was her version of “aging gracefully.”
“I had a facelift about 15 years ago, so it was time for a refresh. I decided to do this facelift because I want to be the best version of myself, and that makes me happy,” she told the publication.
“Just because you get older, it doesn’t mean you should give up on yourself,” Kris Jenner continued. “If you feel comfortable in your skin and you want to age gracefully — meaning you don’t want to do anything — then don’t do anything. But for me, this is aging gracefully. It’s my version.”
In May, the Kardashian-Jenner family matriarch seemed to debut the fresh look when accompanying her daughter Kim Kardashian to a court hearing addressing her 2016 robbery in Paris. Since then, Kris Jenner hasn’t been shy about showing off the results on social media.
During her interview with Vogue Arabia, Kris Jenner confirmed that she went under the knife with Dr. Steven Levine, the viral New York City-based plastic surgeon who conducted the procedure.
She didn’t go into the cosmetic operation alone, though. Naturally, the endeavor became a family affair.
“Of course my daughter Kylie went with me, while Kim was present at all times on FaceTime,” she said of her daughters Kylie Jenner, whom she shares with ex-husband Caitlyn Jenner, and Kim Kardashian, whom she shared with ex-husband Rob Kardashian.
While speaking with the publication, Kris Jenner explained that she chose to disclose information regarding her facelift “because I feel it can be very inspirational to people who aren’t feeling so great about themselves.”
“Even when I had my hip replacement, we filmed it. I have the conviction that sharing these things can be helpful,” she added.
Less than two months from her 70th birthday on Nov. 5, “The Kardashians” reality star further detailed what aging means to her at this point in her life.
“I don’t know what 70 is supposed to feel like, but I feel great and I’m happy to be there,” she said. “I just have to try my best to do what I can to feel good and healthy.”
Reflecting on her priorities nowadays, Kris Jenner called her family “my blessing,” adding, “If I can be a part of their lives in the best way possible, then I’m thrilled.”
Kris Jenner’s openness might be inherited, as one of her daughters nearly three months ago revealed her own experience with cosmetic procedures.
In June, Kylie Jenner outlined — in great detail — specifics around her breast augmentation.
In a TikTok video, a user complimented Kylie Jenner on her breast implants and asked how she achieved “the most perfect, natural looking boob job ever.”
The Kylie Cosmetics founder commented, “445 cc, moderate profile, half under the muscle!!!!! silicone!!! garth fisher!!! hope this helps lol.”
In regards to breast augmentations, 445 cc refers to the size of the silicone implant, while the remainder of Kylie Jenner’s description describes the implant’s placement. Garth Fisher is the name of the surgeon who performed the procedure.
In a follow-up post on Instagram, Fisher responded to the comment, saying he was “honored to be acknowledged by Kylie —her kind words were unexpected but truly appreciated.”
Kris Jenner commented on Fisher’s post, gushing about the surgeon’s work on her 2011 facelift.
“Garth you are such a superstar class act!! You did my first facelift in 2011… 14 years ago!!! and made it the most amazing experience ever and even gave us access to film so that others could get a peek inside what it’s like and not be afraid,” Kris Jenner wrote.
She continued, “You have taken great care of us always and remain such a close and treasured friend!! Such an incredible talent!!”
