Razorlight are engaged on a brand new album.
The ‘Golden Contact’ hitmakers confirmed final April their traditional line-up – Johnny Borrell, Björn Ågren, Carl Dalemo and Andy Burrows – have been reuniting for a live-streamed present that summer time following a 10-year hiatus they usually’ve now revealed they’re planning to launch new music.
Sharing some skilled pictures of the entire band on Twitter, they posted: “Greetings from 2022, right here we’re in Gloucestershire working onerous on Razor album 5.”
Andy beforehand admitted it was “unimaginable” to be again with the band.
He stated: “It feels unimaginable. We’ve spent the previous week or two rehearsing. Enjoying these songs has been an absolute pleasure. The feelings that have been going via me after we began enjoying ‘America’, I forgot to play the primary half of the tune – it was completely nuts. It’s been wonderful. It’s so highly effective enjoying these outdated tunes. It’s very very particular.”
And Johnny was delighted to have rebuilt his outdated friendships.
He stated: “I’m actually having fun with reconnecting with Andy and Carl, it’s like attending to know individuals once more. I’m having fun with it since you by no means need to lose mates. It’s a horrible factor to assume. It doesn’t actually make sense. It undoubtedly feels good to me on a private stage.
“On a inventive stage – wonderful. We’ve been within the studio rehearsing and recording. As quickly because the 4 of us are within the room, it simply sounds wonderful, immediately.”
In 2020, guitarist Björn re-joined the band and Johnny admitted on the time that he hoped to influence bassist Carl to make a comeback.
Razorlight’s final studio album was 2018’s ‘Olympus Sleeping’.
